These pictures were taken at Dillon Reservoir. Dillon Reservoir is near the towns of Dillon, Co and Silverthorne, Co. Dillon is about 30 minutes east of Vail, CO. This area has some of the largest trout in the country with rainbow trout up to 15 lbs. caught regularly. There are a number of small islands on lake dillon and one of them even has it's own lake inside of the island. The narrow channel leading into this island (Sentinel Island) is shallow so you can only access it by canoe or kayak. The old town of Dillon lies under the lake and the water is usually crystal clear so in parts of the Lake you can see parts of the old town of Dillon.
